# 06.02. Actions: Slippage management (Instant)

For instant orders specifically, there is an option to specify a Custom Deviation which can differ from the trader’s deviation. Together they define a maximum deviation from the requested price for orders placed by Instant execution. This feature can be interpreted as a *broker’s custom acceptable deviation*.

ℹ️

**NOTE:** Custom Deviation works only for symbols with Instant Execution type enabled in MetaTrader. *Action type: Requested price* has to be specified.

---

ℹ️

**NOTE:** Slippage management **values** will not be taken into account on the Instant Execution requests with a Custom Deviation value specified.

**Price calculation for Instant orders in case the Custom Deviation is specified:**

- If the current tick’s price is within the both deviations, the trade will be opened at the requested price.
- If the current tick’s price is within the trader’s deviation but exceeds the broker’s deviation, the trade will be opened at the slipped price.
- If the current tick’s price is within the broker’s deviation but exceeds the trader’s deviation, the trade will be opened at the requested price.
- If the current tick’s price exceeds both deviations, the trader will get a requote at the slipped price.

It’s better to understand its workflow from the examples below.

*Trader wants to open an instant BUY trade with a 1.10 price and sets his maximum deviation to 5:*

Example 1: Broker’s deviation: 10. Current tick’s price is 1.13, the trade will open at the 1.10 price.

Example 2: Broker’s deviation: 10. Current tick’s price is 1.17, the trade will open at the 1.10 price.

Example 3: Broker’s deviation: 10. Current tick’s price is 1.21, the trade will be requoted at the 1.21 price.

*Trader wants to open an instant BUY trade with a 1.10 price and sets his maximum deviation to 15:*

Example 1: Broker’s deviation: 10. Current tick’s price is 1.13, the trade will open at the 1.10 price.

Example 2: Broker’s deviation: 10. Current tick’s price is 1.21, the trade will open at the 1.21 price.

Example 3: Broker’s deviation: 10. Current tick’s price is 1.26, the trade will be requoted at the 1.26 price.
