# 09.01. Deployment: Installation

Dealing Desk comes in 4 distributives:

1. MT4 Plugin Version
2. MT5 Plugin Version
3. MT4 Manager API Version
4. MT5 Manager API Version

Your installation process differs depending on which version you have been provided.

### **Dealing Desk MT4 Plugin version installation**

1. Unpack the *Brokeree.DealingDesk-\[version\]* archive file and copy the *DealingDesk.MT4.dll* file into your *MetaTrader 4 Server → Plugins* folder.
2. Restart your MetaTrader 4 Server. The Dealing Desk plugin should now appear in the server’s plugins list.
3. Input the license key provided to your company by Brokeree as the **LicenseKey** parameter’s value in the plugin’s settings.
4. Configure the plugin according to the [Post-Installation configuration](https://support-beta.brokeree.com/help/484057349341?hsLang=en).

### **Dealing Desk MT5 Plugin version installation**

1. Unpack the *Brokeree.DealingDesk-\[version\]* archive file and copy the *DealingDesk.MT5.dll* file into your *MetaTrader 5 Server → Plugins* folder.
2. Restart the server.
3. Add a plugin instance by pressing the **Add** button *MT5 Administrator → Trade server → Plugins*. Choose the *DealingDesk.MT5.dll* plugin from the list.
   
   ℹ️
   
   **NOTE:** The instance of the plugin must contain the `Dealing Desk` string in its name.
4. Input the license key provided to your company by Brokeree as the **LicenseKey** parameter’s value in the plugin’s settings.
5. Configure the plugin according to the [Post-Installation configuration](https://support-beta.brokeree.com/help/484057349341?hsLang=en).

### **Dealing Desk MT4/5 Manager API version installation**

1. Create a folder named */Dealing Desk* at the location where you’d like to install the Manager API version.
2. Unpack the *Brokeree.DealingDesk-\[version\]* archive file.
3. Put the **.licensekey** file provided to your company by Brokeree into the folder containing the unpacked **.exe** files.
4. Open the */Manager folder→ DealingDesk.exe* file by double-clicking on it. During the first technical launch, the app will create all the needed default files inside the installation folder.
5. Configure the application via [*app.json*](https://support-beta.brokeree.com/help/484057349341?hsLang=en)*;*
6. Install *DealingDesk.exe* as a service with a custom display name by running the following command in the command line (under Windows Administrator privileges):
   
   ```
   DealingDesk.exe -install MyDealingDeskServiceName
   ```
7. Start *DealingDesk.exe* as a service (*Administrative Tools → Services → \<ServiceName\> → Start*) or by running the following command in the command line (under Windows Administrator privileges):Ф
   
   ```
   DealingDesk.exe -start MyDealingDeskServiceName
   ```

### **Dealing Desk Rule Editor installation**

Dealing Desk Rule Editor comes in addition to all these distributives. Rule Editor does not require any specific installation process, it is ready to use right after unpacking it from the Configuration folder.

Run *DealingDesk.Configuration.exe* to start using the Rule Editor.

ℹ️

**NOTE**: Manager API versions require the *DealingDesk.Configuration.exe* to be placed in the same folder with the *DealingDesk.exe* service file. Rule Editor of Manager API versions can not connect to the service remotely.
