05.01. Configuration: Default rule and general settings

The second tab of the Rule editor’s UI is Configuration.

Here you can:

Edit the Default rule;
Set a custom path to the rules.json file;
Edit Execution options:
- Cancel activations with invalid stops
  If checked, Dealing Desk will cancel activations and delete pending orders with invalid SL/TP levels. This resolves the problem with pending orders facing market gaps, usually it happens on a new day’s trading session: If a pending order has an activation price and SL/TP levels both inside the gap between the previous day’s last and the new day’s first known quotes, such a pending order gets instantly activated and immediately closed afterwards.

This may lead to unintentional stop outs. With the Cancel activations with invalid stops option unchecked, this would be the case, but with it, Dealing Desk removes such dangerous pendings.

Please note that there are two different Action type menus for the Trade and Non-trade request types.
